REVEREND JERROLD HINTON
On Thursday, April 7, 2022, Jerrold Hinton, of Alexandria, VA., transitioned at INOVA Mount Vernon Hospital. He was born on October 21, 1955 to the parentage of the late John Henry Hinton and Essie Mae Dees Hinton. Derricca Danyelle Holmes (step daughter) also preceded him in his passing.
Jerry graduated from Spencer High School in Columbus, GA. in 1974. In that year, he joined the United States Air Force. After the Air Force, he joined the United States Army, where he later retired. He was called to the ministry at an early age. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Alexandria, VA. He worked for the CIA and the FBI (Leidos) as a contractor until his passing. He was attending Liberty University to obtain his Master’s Degree in Divinity.
In 2007, he married Cynthia Yvonne Hinton, who cherish his memory. Along with his wife, he leaves behind his sons, Jeremy (Cartland) Hinton, Corey (Kimberly) Hinton, step son Donnie Williams, his daughters, Nzinga Hinton, Tiffany (TK) Hinton, step daughter LaToya (Alfonson) Ross, brothers, John (Ann) Hinton, Donald (Georgia) Hinton, Wyman (Dawn) Hinton, brothers-in-law Henry Kleckley, Maurice Kleckley, Milton Kleckley, sister, Barbara Ann Williams, sisters-in-law, Beverly Ross, Linda Kleckley, 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
